Join us for a 14 day Morocco tour from Casablanca. Over 13 nights, you’ll visit some of the country’s most remarkable destinations. The journey begins in the north, with Casablanca as your first stop.

After Casablanca, you’ll visit Rabat, the capital, and then the famous blue city of Chefchaouen. The tour also takes you to the Roman ruins at Volubilis, the historic city of Meknes, and Fes, Morocco’s cultural heart. Heading south, you’ll stop in Ifrane, known as the Switzerland of Morocco, explore ancient cedar forests, visit Midelt, and see the beautiful Ziz Valley. You’ll also get to experience a traditional market in Rissani and discover fossils in Erfoud.

One of the highlights is a visit to the Merzouga Sahara Desert, where you can ride camels and spend a night in a luxury desert camp, watching the sunset and sunrise over the dunes. You’ll also explore the impressive Todra and Dades Gorges and visit the historic Kasbah of Ait Ben Haddou. The journey continues over the High Atlas Mountains through the Tizi-n-Tichka pass, ending with guided tours of Marrakech and Essaouira. The adventure wraps up back in Casablanca.

Itinerary

Day 1: Arrival in Casablanca – Visit The Largest City Of Morocco

On your first day of the 2-week Morocco Tour Itinerary, we will greet you at the airport or at your hotel in Casablanca, the country’s largest city and main financial center. Your journey begins with a visit to the impressive Hassan II Mosque, which stands on a cliff overlooking the Atlantic Ocean. As the largest mosque in Morocco, it is a must-see for its beautiful design and seaside location.

After you have some time for lunch on your own, we will explore some of Casablanca’s highlights. Depending on when you arrive, our plans may include:

Mohammed V Square: This busy central plaza is known for its mix of colonial-era buildings.
Rick’s Café: Take a photo at this famous spot, inspired by the classic film Casablanca.
Casablanca Corniche: Enjoy a walk along the lively seaside promenade.

Afterwards, we will take you to your hotel for the night.

Day 2: Casablanca – Rabat the capital – Assilah

After breakfast, we will travel along the coast to Rabat, Morocco’s capital and one of its historic imperial cities. We’ll visit the city’s main sights, including the Hassan Tower, the mausoleum of Mohammed V, and the Kasbah of Oudaya. You’ll have free time for lunch. In the afternoon, we’ll head north to Assilah, a charming coastal town. Tonight, we’ll stay in a traditional Riad.

Day 3: Assilah – Tangier – The Rif mountains – Chefchaouen

After breakfast, we’ll leave Assilah and drive toward Tangier, often called “the northern bride.” Tangier sits in the northwest, where the Mediterranean Sea meets the Atlantic Ocean near Cape Spartel and the Strait of Gibraltar. We’ll start by exploring the city, including visits to the famous Cave of Hercules and Cape Spartel. After some free time for lunch, we’ll continue inland to Chefchaouen, passing through Tetouan and the scenic Rif mountains. Along the way, we’ll stop for photos at beautiful viewpoints. At the end of the day, we’ll check into a traditional Riad in Chefchaouen for the night.

Day 4: Sightseeing Chefchaouen the blue city

After breakfast, we’ll head to Chefchaouen, also known as the blue city. Its Berber name, Achaoun, means “horns.” Located in the Rif Mountains of northwestern Morocco, Chefchaouen is famous for its blue-and-white buildings and narrow streets. We’ll start by exploring the charming, historic Medina, where you’ll see beautiful blue doors set against white walls. Lunch is on your own. In the afternoon, you can choose to hike up to the Spanish Mosque, which sits on a hill and offers amazing views of the city. Afterward, we’ll return to your accommodation. Dinner and overnight will be at your current Riad.

Day 5: Chefchaouen- the Roman ruins of Volubilis – Meknes – Fes

After breakfast, you can wander through the beautiful, narrow streets of Chefchaouen, the famous blue city. Next, we’ll visit the ancient Roman ruins at Volubilis, a well-preserved UNESCO World Heritage site. Here, you’ll see many detailed mosaics, old columns, and impressive arches. Once we finish exploring, we’ll travel 30 kilometers to Meknes, which was once the capital under Moulay Ismail and is one of Morocco’s imperial cities. In Meknes, we’ll visit the grand Bab Al-Mansour gate, the Sahrij Souani water reservoir, the old Royal stables, the granary, and Moulay Ismail’s mausoleum. Afterward, we’ll head to Fes, where you’ll spend the night in a traditional Riad.

Day 6: Sightseeing Fes with a Local Guide

After you finish breakfast at your Riad in Fes, on your 14 day Morocco travel itinerary, we will pick you up and begin exploring Fes, one of Morocco’s most famous imperial cities and its spiritual and cultural heart.

We’ll start with a panoramic drive. Our first stop is the impressive Royal Palace Gate, followed by a visit to the Mellah, the old Jewish quarter. Then, you’ll get great views from Borj Sud, which looks out over the old walled city. We’ll wrap up this part of the tour at the Ceramic Village & School, where you can watch traditional crafts being made.

Next, we’ll set out on a guided walking tour. As we enter the medieval Medina, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and one of the best-preserved ancient cities in the Arab world, you’ll feel like you’ve stepped back in time. Our expert local guide will show you highlights such as the Al Attarine Madrasa, the Mosque and University of Al Quaraouiyine, often called the world’s oldest operational university, and the colorful Chouara Tanneries, where leather is still processed using centuries-old methods.

After this memorable journey through history, we’ll bring you back to your accommodations so you can relax and enjoy some free time.

Day 7: Fes – Ifrane – Cedars forest- Midelt – Ziz valley – Merzouga Sahara

After breakfast, we head south through Imouzzer to reach Ifrane. This town is famous for its cool weather, snowy winters, and Alpine-style houses, which is why it’s called the “Switzerland of Morocco.” Next, we visit the cedar forest, home to Barbary macaques. You’re welcome to feed them as you walk through the woods. We then continue to Midelt, where we’ll stop for lunch. Afterward, we travel to Merzouga, passing through the Tizi-n-Tilghmt pass and following the Ziz valley, with stops along the way to enjoy the beautiful views.

In the afternoon, we’ll reach the Sahara Desert near Merzouga, where you’ll ride camels across the sand. We’ll stop on a high dune to watch the sunset. Later, we’ll arrive at the camp, which combines traditional nomad tents with modern comforts. You can enjoy live Berber drumming and join in dancing around the bonfire under the stars. Dinner will be served, and you’ll spend the night at the camp.

Day 8: Explore Merzouga region – Nomads – Khamlia (Gnaoua village) – Merzouga lake – Erg Chebbi – Palm Grove

To catch the stunning desert sunrise, you’ll need to wake up before dawn. Afterward, you’ll have breakfast before heading back to Merzouga by camel or 4×4, where your driver will be waiting. On day eight of your Morocco Itinerary 2 Weeks, you’ll spend the whole day exploring the Merzouga area. Here, you can see impressive dunes, a seasonal lake, mineral deposits, fossil beds, and beautiful oases. These places are great for all kinds of outdoor activities.

The day starts in Merzouga with an off-road trip to see an old kohl mine. Next, you’ll visit nomadic families in their woven tents and share Berber tea with them, learning about their way of life. Then, you’ll head to the village of Khamlia to enjoy live Gnaoua music and dance. The people here have roots in countries south of the Sahara, like Mali, Sudan, and Niger. You’ll have lunch at a local restaurant. In the afternoon, you’ll walk through the palm groves, then take a short drive to see the temporary lake of Merzouga, known as the flamingos’ lake. The day ends back in Merzouga with dinner and a night at a traditional Riad.

Day 9: Merzouga Sahara – Rissani – Erfoud – Todra Gorges – Dades Valley

After breakfast, we leave the desert and head to Rissani, once the main city of Tafilalet. Today, Rissani remains an important trading center, known for its large, lively market that comes to life on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Sundays.

After exploring the Rissani market, we continue to Erfoud to visit a workshop that specializes in fossilized marble. Next, we drive past the palm groves of Touroug and Tinjdad on our way to the Todra Gorges. The Todra River has carved a stunning canyon here, with tall, bright red cliffs rising from the mountains. The gorges are a favorite spot for rock climbers, and everyone is welcome to wander and enjoy the beautiful scenery. We will stop for lunch at a local restaurant. Later, we head to the Dades Valley, passing through Boumalne Dades. Along the way, we will see the unique rock formation called the “monkey fingers” and stop at a viewpoint overlooking the valley. Our day ends with dinner and an overnight stay at a hotel.

Day 10: Dades Valley – Roses Valley – Palm Groves of Skoura – Ouarzazate Ait Ben Haddou Kasbah – High Atlas Mountains – Marrakech

After breakfast, we head to Kalaa Magouna to explore the Valley of Roses. Every May, the area comes alive with the annual Rose Festival, where local vendors offer rose-based products like perfumes, rose water, essential oils, and beauty items. Next, we pass through the Skoura oasis, known for its wide palm groves, before reaching Ouarzazate. There, we’ll visit the film studios that have hosted many famous movies.

The next day, we’ll visit the famous Kasbah of Ait Ben Haddou, a historic fortress and UNESCO World Heritage site. This striking citadel has appeared in movies such as *Gladiator*, *Alexander*, and *The Mummy*, as well as in shows such as *Game of Thrones*. Afterward, we’ll travel to Marrakech, crossing the scenic Tizi-n-Tichka pass in the High Atlas Mountains. We’ll stop for lunch and take photos at beautiful viewpoints along the way. Our day ends with an overnight stay at a traditional riad in Marrakech.

Day 11: Guided Tour sightseeing Marrakesh

After breakfast, we will set out to explore Marrakesh’s top sights with a knowledgeable local guide. As one of Morocco’s historic capitals, Marrakesh is known for its rich culture and impressive landmarks. Our tour includes a visit to the beautiful nineteenth-century Bahia Palace, followed by the well-preserved Ben Youssef Madrasa, once a center for Islamic learning and a great example of Moroccan art. You’ll also stroll through the lively Medina and its markets, full of colorful stalls and skilled artisans, soak up the energy of Jamaa El Fna Square, and see the outside of the Koutoubia Mosque, the city’s largest religious building.

You’ll have free time for lunch. In the afternoon, meet your driver for a visit to the famous Majorelle Garden (please note that advance online booking is required). Afterward, we’ll drive through Gueliz, the modern part of Marrakesh, before returning to your accommodation.

Day 12: Marrakech – Essaouira

After breakfast, we’ll head west to Essaouira. On the way, we’ll stop at Argan tree groves and co-operatives, and if we’re lucky, we might see goats in the trees. When we arrive in Essaouira, once called Mogador, you’ll discover one of Morocco’s main seaside towns. It’s famous for fresh seafood, beautiful sandy beaches, and great surfing. You’ll have free time to explore the fishing harbor, the old fortifications with cannons, and the Medina, the historic city center. At the end of the day, we’ll take you to your accommodation, where you’ll spend the night in Essaouira.

Day 12: Essaouira – Marrakech

At this point, you can choose to spend more time exploring Essaouira at your own pace, or you can start your drive back to Marrakech and enjoy the beautiful coastal and inland views along the way. When you arrive, head to your accommodation and use the rest of the day however you like. You might want to relax, visit the markets, or enjoy a rooftop café.

Day 12: Marrakesh or Casablanca Airports

On your final day, we will arrange your transfer to Marrakech Airport based on your flight schedule. If you prefer, you can end your tour in Casablanca.

How Long is The Camel Ride?

The Camel ride is 40 minutes to 1.5 hours long, depending on which camp you are staying in.

Pick-up and Drop-off Details

The meeting point for the tour is at 09 a.m. at any location within Marrakech. If your Riad is accessible by car, we will pick you up directly from there. In case of accessibility issues, we will pick you up from the nearest accessible road point. This can be arranged upon confirmation of your booking.

At the end of the tour, we will drop you off at any location in Tangier or its surroundings.

Expenses

Currency Exchange : Euros or USD can be exchanged for Moroccan Dirham (MAD) at various locations throughout Morocco, including banks and currency exchange bureaus. Additionally, ATMs are widely available for cash withdrawals.
