Itinerario

1 Day: Arrival in Casablanca

We will pick you up from the airport, the port, or your hotel to begin your adventure in Morocco. Casablanca, the country’s largest city and economic center, is our first stop. We’ll start by visiting the Hassan II Mosque, Morocco’s largest mosque, which stands on the city’s western coast and overlooks the Atlantic Ocean. You’ll have some free time for lunch. Afterward, we’ll explore more of the city’s main sights, including the beautiful Corniche of Casablanca. At the end of the day, you can relax in a comfortable hotel for the night.

Day 2: Casablanca - Volubilis Roman Ruins - Meknes - Fes

After breakfast, we leave Casablanca and travel to Volubilis, known for its ancient Roman ruins. This UNESCO World Heritage Site features remarkably well-preserved architecture, with mosaics decorating old pillars and impressive archways. Next, we drive about 30 kilometers to Meknes, the former capital of Ismail and an imperial city.
In Meknes, we will visit top sights like Bab Al-Mansour, the Sahrij Souani basin, the royal stables, the granary, and the mausoleum of Moulay Ismail. Afterward, we continue to Fes, where we will spend the night in a traditional Riad.

Day 3: Fes – Ifrane – Cedar Forest – Midelt – Ziz Valley – Merzouga Sahara

After breakfast, we will head south, passing through Imouzzer towards Ifrane. This town is often called the “Switzerland of Morocco” because of its cool weather, snowy winters, and alpine-style houses. Next, we will visit cedar forests, home to Barbary macaques. You are welcome to feed the monkeys as you explore the area.
Next, we will stop in Midelt for lunch. Afterward, we will travel through the Tizi-n-Tilghmt pass and the Ziz valley, making stops along the way to enjoy the scenery. We plan to arrive in Merzouga, Sahara, in the afternoon, where we will switch from our vehicle to camels. Riding camels will take you deep into the dunes of the desert.
We will aim to reach the top of a high dune, the perfect spot to watch a beautiful sunset. At the end of the day, we will arrive at our campamento en el desierto, which combines traditional nomad tents with the comfort of a hotel. You can listen to Berber drum music and join in dancing around the campfire under a sky full of stars. We will spend the night at the camp and enjoy dinner together.

Day 4: Merzouga Sahara – Rissani – Erfoud – Todra Gorges – Dades Valley

Make sure to catch the early sunrise in the desierto—it’s a special experience. After breakfast, we’ll ride camels back to Merzouga, where our driver will meet us. From there, we’ll head to Rissani, which was once the capital of Tafilalet and is still an important trading center today.
After exploring the Rissani souk, we’ll continue to Erfoud, where you can visit a fossilized marble workshop. Next, we’ll pass through the palm groves of Touroug and Tinjdad on our way to the Las gargantas del Todra. This stunning canyon, shaped by the Todra River, now draws climbers and adventurers from around the world.
Take in the beautiful scenery as we explore the gorges. You’ll have some free time to enjoy lunch. Afterward, we’ll head toward Dades Valley via Boumalne Dades, stopping to see the unique ‘monkey fingers’ rock formation and enjoy the views. We’ll spend the night at a hotel that includes dinner.

Day 5: Dades Valley – Roses Valley – Palm Groves of Skoura – Ouarzazate Ait Ben Haddou Kasbah - Telouet – High Atlas Mountains – Marrakech

We start our journey by heading to Kalaa Magouna to visit the Rose Valley. Every May, the area hosts a Rose Festival where local producers display their rose products. Afterward, we travel through the Skoura palm groves and continue to Ouarzazate, where we will visit a film studio famous for its movie sets.
Next, we visit the famous Kasbah of Ait Ben Haddou, a fortified village recognized as a UNESCO World Heritage site. Many movies and TV shows, such as “Gladiator,” “Alexander,” “The Mummy,” and “Game of Thrones,” have been filmed here.
Our last stop is Marrakech. On the way, we will cross the Tizi-N-Tichka pass and the stunning High Atlas Mountains, stopping for lunch and photos at scenic spots. Once we reach Marrakech, we will take you to the airport or your chosen accommodation. This marks the end of our Private 5 Days Desert Tour From casablanca.
