With plenty of amazing attractions in our itinerary, we can start by being blown away by the majesty of the Atlas Mountains, the immediate recognition that is Ait-Ben-Haddou Kasbah, and the movie-making city of Ouarzazate. Itinerary

The journey of a 4-day Marrakech to Fes Desert Tour begins with an early morning pick-up at the airport or your accommodation in Marrakech. The tour then continues through the magnificent High Atlas mountains, passing the Tizi-N-Tichka pass. Designed breaks will allow one to view the sublime scenery from the panoramic viewpoint.

Our next stops include the famous Ait Ben Haddou Kasbah. This fortified village, now a UNESCO World Heritage site, has been the setting for many films, from "Gladiator" and "Alexander" to "The Mummy" and shows like "Game of Thrones". The next destination is Ouarzazate, known as "The Gate of the Desert", where we will visit Atlas Studio, where many well-known films have been shot, plus Taourirt Kasbah in Ouarzazate itself. From there, we continue toward the Rose Valley. In May, the locals celebrate a Rose Festival, which serves as a platform to exhibit their rose products, perfumes, rose waters, oils, and other cosmetics. This day ends with a transfer to Boumalne Dades, dinner, and overnight in a hotel or Riad.

After taking your morning meal, enjoy the magnificent Dades Gorges scenery. The next leg of our trip will be to Todra Gorges, which boast of breath-taking canyon sculpted by tens of thousands of years by the Todra River within the mountains – creating a soaring stood of crimson cliffs. Lunch will be left depending on your preference; feel free to explore those gorgeous gorges or enjoy the awesome visuals.

As the sun sets, we enter Merzouga, gateway to the Sahara Desert. Here, one switches to camels and heads into the sands. A short halt is planned for sunset on top of a high dune to be enjoyed. Thereafter, we march towards the lavish desert camp, which has the Berber drum music around a campfire. Enjoy this, plus dancing and the spectacle of the star-filled night. The camp will have a dinner and an overnight stay.

To witness the desert's magnificent sunrise, one must rise with the early sun on the very first day. Afterward, breakfast may be taken at leisure. One can return to Merzouga on the camel to find the driver. The rest of the day is then dedicated to uncovering the enchanting mysteries of the region, with many spectacular locations to be discovered-dramatic sand dunes, a wild lake, abandoned mines, fossil beds, and beautiful oases, laden with outdoor activities.

To begin with, we will set off for the Merzouga and take a short off-road excursion to an ancient eyeliner mine. Afterward, we will enjoy a visit with nomadic families in their handmade woven tents, where one can learn about their lifestyle while sipping Berber tea. The next stop would be Khamlia village, where soul food and music allow the guests to savor the essence of Gnaoua rhythms and dances. This village's descendants originate from areas bordering south of the Sahara, such as Mali, Sudan, and Niger. A relaxing lunch at a restaurant will follow. We will then stroll through a cool palm grove. And shortly after this, we shall head to the wild lake of Merzouga, also called the flamingos lake. Dinner and night stay will be duly arranged at the hotel.

The concluding day of your 4-day Marrakech to Fes desert tour itinerary starts with witnessing the sunrise across the desert, after which breakfast is served. Then comes the camel trek back to Merzouga to meet your driver.

After this, the program departs from the desert toward the ancient capital of Tafilalet, Rissani. Rissani remains a commercial focal point, with a souk that comes to life on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Sundays. Following your Rissani souk visit, you'll drive on toward Erfoud, where you will be able to visit a workshop specializing in fossilized marble.

Next comes the ride along the Ziz River, stopping to take pictures of the Ziz Valley. Lunch is at your leisure in Midelt, after which the tour will head to the cedar forest, home of Barbary Macaques, where visitors can feed the monkeys while exploring the area. After this, one can pay a visit to Ifrane, known for its cool temperatures and beautiful snow and alpine architecture, nicknamed the "Switzerland of Morocco." The tour ends with your drop-off at the airport or accommodation in Fes. End of this 4-day tour.
