Our adventure starts by driving in the direction of Kasbah Aitbenhadou and when doing this we cross the highest pass in Africa Tizi N’ Tichka at an altitude of 2260 m. This provides amazing views of the high Atlas Mountains as well as equally beautiful views of the Berber villages. We now travel towards the UNESCO World Heritage Site of Aït Benhaddou. This structure is situated on a hill which runs along the Ouarzazate River. This will probably always be one of the outstanding examples of southern Moroccan architecture. Therefore, it is not surprising that has been used as a backdrop in no less than 20 very famous movies among which is well known features such as Gladiator, The Mummy, Game of thrones and Lawrence of Arabia. Our journey now takes us past Ouarzazat which is a large Berber city in southern Morocco which is also become known as the Hollywood of Africa. We now take the route along the rose valley until we reach our overnight hotel in Dades Gorges.

The first event of every day is always a healthy breakfast in our hotel where after we leave the Dades gorges behind us and move on to Todra gorges Gorge and we do this by passing by Tinghir and the beautiful valley of Todra. This will provide people with the perfect opportunity to enjoy a short hike along the high and narrow cliffs of Todra. When this is completed we continue our journey to Merzouga and on the way we will pass through the spectacular stony desert and also the palmeries of Erfoud which is also known as the capital of the fossils. We also visit Rissani which has the largest market in the South. Eventually in the afternoon we all reach the Merzouga desert the location of a new adventure where people will have the opportunity to go on an authentic camel trek experience which will last approximately 90 minutes. This will allow people to experience a wonderful sunset in the heart of the Erg Chebbi dunes. This is followed by a very special night under millions of shiny stars. People will be served a Berber dinner, there will also be a drum party and finally people will have the opportunity to sleep in a traditional nomadic tent.

take you back to your hotel. On arrival you can enjoy a breakfast and also take a shower. We will now proceed to Ourzazat and the route which will be taken will take us through the amazing Anti Atlas Mountains. We will also pass Alnif which has become extremely famous because of the Henna groves and we will also visit Agdz which is a little town which is located at the shore of the Draa River which is in fact the longest river in Morocco. A journey now takes us across the Tizi N’Tinifift pass at an attitude of 1460 m until we reach our hotel in Ouarzazat.

A large portion of the fourth day is used in order to explore Ouarzazat which is a very large Berber city in southern Morocco which is known by many as the Hollywood of Africa. Some of the attractions which are visited is the Atlas Studios where several well-known movies have been made such as The way back, Babel and Star Wars. This is followed by a visit to Kasbah Taourirt which is the old city of Ouarzazar which was actually the residence of the Pacha of Marrakech in the south. This will bring us to lunch and there after our journey takes us to the high Atlas Mountains and the rich and fertile village of Telouet. This is also the Glaoui’s home-town where people will have the opportunity to see the salt mines and finally around 1900 hrs. we arrived back in Marrakech.
