Day 1: Arrival to Casablanca – Visit The Largest City Of Morocco

On the first day of your 12 Days Morocco Tour From Casablanca, we will meet you at the airport or at your accommodation in Casablanca largest city and economic heartbeat of Morocco. Your journey starts with a fantastic visit to Hassan II Mosque, which stands on a promontory overlooking the Atlantic Ocean. One of the many reasons why this mosque is the pride of Morocco is that it is the largest mosque in the country, but its architectural intricacy and its setting by the sea make it a must-see landmark.

After some free time for lunch, we continue exploring the highlights of Casablanca. Depending on your arrival time, the tour may include:

Mohammed V Square – the busy civic center, known for colonial architecture

A photo stop at the iconic Rick’s Café, inspired by the classic film Casablanca

A leisurely walk along the vibrant Corniche of Casablanca

Note: Visits may vary in order and number relative to your arrival schedule.

Overnight in a comfortable hotel in Casablanca.

Day 2: Casablanca – Rabat, the Capital – Chefchaouen

After breakfast, we shall go along the shore towards Rabat. This is the imperial city of Morocco, and it remains the capital of Morocco to this day. It is located in the northwest of the country and presents the main attractions of the Moroccan capital, namely: the famous Hassan Tower, the mausoleum of Mohammed V, and, of course, the Kasbah of Oudaya. We shall give ourselves some time for lunch. In the afternoon, we proceed to head north again by Ouazzane to the famous Blue City, Chefchaouen, located in the Rif Mountains. We’ll spend the night at a hotel.

Day 3: Sightseeing Chefchaouen the blue city

After breakfast, we have planned a trip to Chefchaouen, known as the blue city. This is also called Achaoun in Berber, which means “horns.” It is situated within the Rif Mountains of northwestern Morocco, which are especially celebrated for the blue and white paint on its buildings and narrow lanes. To start with, we’ll explore the beautiful ancient Medina, with its many charmingly beautiful true blue doors against white-washed walls. Next, we will have some unstructured time for lunch. The afternoon offers a hike to the Spanish Mosque. This advantageous point, on a hilltop, allows you to view the entire blue city in a very panoramic and spectacular scene. Returning at the end of the day, we will go to your accommodation. The same hotel will serve as a residence for the night.

Day 4: Chefchaouen – The Roman Ruins of Volubilis – Meknes – Fes

After breakfast, you will walk through the lovely narrow streets of Chefchaouen, Morocco’s most famous “Blue City.” Then, continue with the exploration of the historical remains of Volubilis, where an ancient Roman settlement once flourished. It has been called a UNESCO World Heritage site because of how well-preserved it is today. Here, one can see several beautiful mosaics across the site, classical columns, and grand arches. After spending time walking among these ruins, we will drive another short distance of thirty kilometers to Meknes, the administrative capital of Sultan Moulay Ismail and one of Morocco’s imperial cities. Our itinerary includes monuments such as Bab Al-Mansour, the Sahrij Souani water basin, the former Royal Stables, the granaries, and the tomb of Moulay Ismail. The capital for the day will be Fes, where a traditional Riad will host a night for you.

Day 5: Sightseeing Fes with a Local Guide

Breakfast at your Riad in Fes will restore some energy for your pickup. Thus begins your immersion in Fes, the main cultural and spiritual center of Morocco, as well as one of its famous imperial capitals.

First, you’ll drive along the scenic route. The first highlight is the splendid gates of the Royal Palace, and from there we proceed to “The Mellah”-the former Jewish community area. We will then ascend to Borj Sud for incredible views of the ancient medina. That concludes the driving part with a stop at the Ceramic Village and School, known for centuries of hand-crafting.

The next phase of the adventure will now be on foot. The one that will be transported into another era as we enter the old Medina, a UNESCO World Heritage site, and one of the best-preserved historical city centers in the Arab World. Under the aegis of an expert local guide, you will visit such important monuments as the Al Attarine Madrasa, the world-famous Chouara Tanneries, where leather is still dyed using ancient techniques, and the Al Quaraouiyine Mosque and University, reputedly the oldest continually operating university in the world.

The initiation of such an intensive historical tour will be followed by the return of guests to their Riad in time to enjoy a brief rest before carrying on.

Day 6: Fes – Ifrane – Cedars forest – Midelt – Ziz valley – Merzouga Sahara

Post-breakfast, we are off south via Imouzzer to Ifrane, a city known for its coldness, snow, and chalets. Hence, it is not surprising to hear it named “the Switzerland of Morocco”. The twelve-day Moroccan itinerary further takes us to the cedar forests, with Barbary apes. Anyone visiting these areas is encouraged to offer the monkeys food as his or her forest excursion is going on. Afterward, our passing route branches into Midelt, which is where the lunch break is fixed. We then move toward Merzouga, passing the Tizi-n-Tilghmt pass and subsequently crossing the Ziz valley and taking breaks for some incredible views.

Afternoon finds us in the Merzouga part of the Sahara. From here onwards, you will transition to camel riding and cross the sandy expanse. A top dune will be one of the halt points to enjoy the display of a sunset. This will finally lead us towards the camp. Here, the camp brings a rusticity of nomadic tents alongside the features of a high-end hotel. Nights here are made with hypnotizing sounds of Berber drums, calling patrons to dance around the bonfire beneath an expansive star-filled canvas overhead. Dinner will be spent at the camp with a night’s rest.

Day 7: Explore Merzouga region – Nomads – Khamlia – Merzouga lake – Erg Chebbi – palm grove

Wake up with the sun so you can see the stunning sunrise right in the desert heart. Afterward, breakfast will be prepared. After that, the two options of camels or 4×4 will make the journey towards Merzouga, where your driver will be waiting for you. The seventh part of your twelve-day exploration of Morocco is solely dedicated to discovering the vicinity of Merzouga. There are many interesting places in this area, such as vast dunes, a hidden lake, some mineral extraction sites, fossil-rich grounds, and beautiful oases. Naturally, these places are suited for a lot of temptations to outdoor recreation.

Our expedition in Merzouga kicks off by going off-road to a very old mine, which is famous for eyeliners. Followed by visiting nomadic families in their traditional handmade tents. You will learn about their lifestyle while drinking authentic Berber tea. Next, we shall head to the village of Khamlia, where you will enjoy performances of jems and dancing in Gnaoua music. This place’s residents can trace their lineage to sub-Saharan nations, including Mali, Sudan, and Niger. Lunch will be at a local restaurant during the break. Then we will take a stroll through a palm grove. Then we take a short drive to the wild lake of Merzouga, known sometimes as the flamingos’ lake. Finally, we head back to Merzouga to have dinner and spend the night at a hotel.

Day 8: Merzouga Sahara – Rissani – Erfoud – Todra Gorges – Dades Valley

After breakfast, we depart the desert for Rissani, the historic capital of Tafilalet. Rissani is still a vital commercial center for the region, boasting an active souk each Tuesday, Thursday, and Sunday.

After visiting the Rissani souk, we continue to Erfoud, where we will visit a workshop of marble rock that has been fossilized. Later, we will continue our trip through the palm groves of Touroug and Tinjdad till we reach the Todra Gorges. The Todra River carved a gorge across the mountain, leaving behind a tall granite canyon with crystal-like, steep red walls; this is a great place for rock climbing. You will be encouraged to wander the gorges and admire the magnificent scenery before stopping for lunch at a local restaurant. Afterward, we will proceed to the Dades Valley via Boumalne Dades. Important stops must be made at the “monkey fingers” rock formation and for beautiful views over the Dades Valley. Dinner and an overnight stay will be at a hotel.

Day 9: Dades Valley – Roses Valley – Palm Groves of Skoura – Ouarzazate Ait Ben Haddou Kasbah – High Atlas Mountains – Marrakech

After breakfast in the morning, it was onward to Kalaa Magouna Valley of Roses-to be explored. There is an annual Rose Festival in this area, which is conducted every May, during which the residents display an array of products made from roses, such as perfumes, rose water, essential oils, and cosmetics. Then we go through the Skoura palm oases before reaching Ouarzazate, which is a city that we will explore with a visit to the film studios where many internationally acclaimed films have been shot.

The tour then directs us to the famous Kasbah of Ait Ben Haddou, a fortified historic city that is included in the World Heritage list of UNESCO. The kasbah has also been the setting for a great deal of films, such as *Gladiator*, *Alexander*, *The Mummy*, etc., and television series, such as *Game of Thrones*. Then we continue our route to Marrakech, crossing the pass Tizi-N-Tichka and the majestic High Atlas Mountains. This route will have its stops along the way for lunch and views at picturesque turnouts. The day finishes with an overnight stay in a traditionally styled Riad in Marrakech.

Day 10: Guided Tour sightseeing Marrakesh

Marrakech’s prime tours will unfold after a lovely breakfast and with a knowledgeable local expert. One of the ancient capital cities of Morocco, Marrakech has a lot of cultural heritage and magnificent structures. The tour would include the glorious Bahia Palace, which dates back to the 1800s, and it would end with the beautifully preserved Ben Youssef Madrasa, which was once an Islamic college and an example of classic Moroccan architecture. Besides, you will wander through the bustling Medina with many maze-like markets where colorful displays and very talented artisans are found, and soak up the lively atmosphere of Jamaa El Fna Square while standing outside the largest Koutoubia Mosque.

Lunch will be at your leisure. Later in the day, you will rendezvous with your transport to tour the renowned Majorelle Garden (advance online reservation is mandatory) and then take a drive through Gueliz, which represents the contemporary section of Marrakesh, prior to heading back to your accommodation.

Day 11: Marrakech – Essaouira

Following our morning meal, our journey will take us in a westward direction toward Essaouira. Along this route, we are scheduled to pause for visits to witness the Argan tree groves and the cooperatives associated with them, and perhaps, if fortune smiles upon us, we might observe the goats perched in the trees. Upon arrival in Essaouira, a locale formerly known as Mogador, it stands as one of Morocco’s significant seaside municipalities. This city garners renown for its wide array of fresh seafood, its lovely stretch of beach, and its reputation for surfing. You will then have unstructured time to explore the active fishing harbor, the historic fortifications adorned with their cannons, and the old city center, the Medina. To conclude the day, we will facilitate your move to your accommodation. Lodging for the night will be in Essaouira.
